Eric at Bonsai Ko has always been so supportive and a great source of knowledge not only for buying bonsai but also for their care. I have a tree I bought from Eric 25 years ago which is going in for a haircut next week. The owner is very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he is doing. He patiently and kindly answered all my questions, and even taught me some new information about bonsais. I haven't bought anything but me & my girlfriend went in to speak to the owner and not only is he clearly truly passionate about the beautiful art he creates - but he was cheerfully explaining every little detail about them, without even an ounce of trying to 'push us' to buy something. He was also very honest and said that there definitely are some trees which aren't suitable for all environments, and that they do require great care.

If I ever were to recommend a shop to buy bonsai from - or even just to visit whilst in Brighton - this must be it!
